The first section of Guangzhou Metro Line 18 is 58.3 kilometers long and has a total of 8 stations. The station adopts a new design concept, with pure white as the base tone and blue as the theme color. The ground uses three natural stones: white magnolia, sea wave flower and sesame black, creating a simple and bright station color atmosphere, and creating a landmark station space that showcases the new image of Guangzhou Metro and meets the characteristics of the new era of rail transit. Among them, Panyu Square Station is a three-line transfer station for Line 18, Line 22 and the existing Line 3. The total construction area of the station exceeds 150,000 square meters. It is the largest underground subway station in Asia and one of the most difficult subway stations in China.
During the construction process, the project team integrated the concept of "green development and people-oriented" into every stage of construction management. The decoration of the stations along the line all uses green and environmentally friendly materials, with partition keels as the frame, and the middle shape uses the Bay Area blue theme color, integrating different colors of lighting, creating a modern and rural decorative style, so that passengers along the line can feel the warmth of home. The assembled welding-free universal angle steel system and wall keel bolting system are used to reduce on-site material cutting and hot work, improve construction efficiency and safety, and realize the standardization, factoryization and assembly of decoration construction. Modeling software and cross grid positioning method are used to accurately locate the position of each axis to ensure the accuracy of the curvature and elevation of each ceiling panel installation, creating a flexible and elegant sense of hierarchy and a smooth and open sense of space for the station.
